Was pleasantly surprised how delicious the burgers were. Little cute hole in the wall type of feel when u step inside. Brought me back to the times I would grab burgers with my friends after high school. Definitely would go back and try the other items. I like it much better than shake shack, gotts, in n out, etc

Get your vintage burger experience at this little spot. Parking is a trick due to the narrow, one way lot. But if you can work that out you'll enjoy a hearty burger joint. It looks like some Korean food is also making its way onto the traditional menu, but I only sampled a customary burger/fries/shake combo. The food is pretty good, but get lots of napkins for the juicy burger. The shake is actually some sort of frozen custard, which sadly was a bit icy. And the chocolate flavor was not so good. Skip it I'd say. Friendly service and a cool retro decor made the visit a pleasure.

Was hungry for a snack while running errands in Walnut Creek and stumbled upon George's. Parking was a little bit tricky, so we had to walk a short way--even before we were in the restaurant my daughter said "wow something smells GOOOOOOD". Walked in and she absolutely nailed it, the smell of food cooking is enough to make your mouth water. The place looks a bit like a time capsule of a time past in the very best way--everything is exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The menu has a nice variety, it's not all burgers. I even saw loco moco listed. We walked up to the front and ordered some classics: a cheeseburger (they will ask you how you like your meat cooked), curly fries, and a frosty of course. My kids demolished the ice cream and fries without hesitation, but I was lucky enough to get a couple bites of each. Fries were crispy and fresh, perfectly seasoned. The cheeseburger was divine--I've been on a smash burger kick for the past 5 years or so, but George's really represents the perfect traditional burger. It was so good I was tempted to get another. The cherry on top? The folks working here were incredibly friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

Our first time here, after reading all the lovely reviews! As soon as you enter, you get that old school feel, w/ all the art on the walls. Then we were greeted by the owner, John! We brought our grand daughter w/ us, and he was just chatting w/ us at our table and playing w/ our grand daughter! He continued to share w/ us thr history of the restaurant, which was so cool! You hardly get that sense of "family" from some of the other businesses around! He made is feel at home! What we ordered: party of 5 adults * bulgogi burger *loco moco *JJs burger *bulgogi plate *mushroom Swiss burger add grilled onions *5 frosties *Shirley Temples My JJs burger was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time! Everyone else loved the food they ordered! Prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back for more!! Overall, a truly great experience!!

This has become my go-to burger spot during my pregnancy. Service: * the owners are super warm and friendly! Ambience: * a good ol' burger spot, no frill, no fuss. * you can see the story of the burger place along the wall, pretty cool! Food: * the burgers are always juicy and fresh! Never short of flavor! * the portion is worth every penny, considering how much every other fast food charges these days for frozen patties I'd go every week if I could! Highly recommend!

I recently visited George's Giant Hamburger, and while the food was impressive, the ambiance left something to be desired. The customer service, however, was top-notch! The owner's energy and enthusiasm were infectious, making me feel welcome and valued. The burger was the star of the show - a massive, juicy patty made with fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. The fries were a pleasant surprise, not greasy at all! If you're craving a high-quality, homemade-style burger, this is the place to go. However, the ambiance feels outdated and old school. I'd love to see some modern touches, like local art on the walls or a fresh new decor. Adding a secret menu item, like an "animal style" option, would also take this place to the next level. Overall, George's Giant Hamburger serves amazing food, but the atmosphere needs a bit of a refresh. Still, I highly recommend it for burger lovers - and who knows, maybe they'll take my suggestions to heart!

Imma SAY IT! IMMA SAY IT!! Don't come at me! I aint from Vallejo so i am not Biased!! It's better than Buds. I KNOW I KNOW! Don't believe me, go try it! Dine in here!!! 10/10 service...owner gave great recommendations. The food really speaks for itself here. Burgers are not cooked in oil, he lets it cook in its own juices. So it was suuperr juicy. We had the Mushroom Swiss Burger and Bacon Cheeseburger cut in half so we can share. I personally loved the Mushroom Swiss, im a swiss kind of misses. I'd add a bacon in mine next time. My boyfriend absolutely loved the Bacon Cheeseburger. He said it himself and he IS from Vallejo... "im not gonna lie, this is better than Buds." So, there a vallejo native SAYING it himself!

Took my 94 year old father to Giant Burger for lunch. He is a burger gourmet. He gave it a strong 5 star rating. Both our burgers were cooked perfectly. The cheese to burger ratio was perfect. The lettuce, onions and tomatoes were fresh. We had sweet potato fries which were hot and crispy. Dad has a chocolate soft serve which they explained would be a milkshake in a few minutes when it melted. The service was fast and the manager was attentive. The restruant was confortable.
